Mau: To stop grand electric theft campaign which is going to start from 1st july, the Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh with officials has a discussion on video conferencing. The Magistrate Narendra Singh Patel, Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Shukla, including top officials of the power department draw a framework of the campaign through conferencing. Chief Secretary said that along checking there is also a provision to drive new connections throuhg simplest method. In urban areas, two kilowatts of new power connections to the consumer by making a deposit of Rs 2650 and Rs 2000 for rural areas will be given immediate. In rural areas, Rs 1350 for one kilowatt will be required to deposit for new connection and Rs 610 for BPL consumers. Electrical connection of two kilowatts of urban consumers is mandatory. Superintending Engineer AK Roy said that 50 team will do a week-long checking campaign as par instruction. Consumers who exceed above the approved load can also apply to improve load without any penalty . Effective checking of all the connections will start from July.
