Jhargram is a district in the state of West Bengal, India. The district is situated between the Kangsabati River in the north and Subarnarekha in the south. It comes under the Medinipur division. Jhargram district is a part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau. Jhargram is also known for its traditional dances like Chuang, Chang, Chhau, Dangre, Jhumur, Punta, Ranpa, Sahrul, Tusu and Bhadu.
