Recently, cases of fraud in Kisan Samman Nidhi were reported in many states. After which now the government has made ration card mandatory to stop this fraud. Under the scheme, it will be mandatory to give ration card number during new registration.

Now ration card is necessary

Therefore, if you want to apply for Kisan Samman Nidhi, then you must have a ration card. According to the rules, the husband, wife or any one member of that family registered in the ration card will be able to get the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Apart from this, a soft copy of the document will have to be made and uploaded on the website.

At the same time, to make the rules easier, the government has done away with the mandatory submission of hard copies of land accounts- Khasra, Aadhar card, bank passbook and declaration form. Now the farmer will only have to make a PDF file of the documents and upload it on the portal. The government says that this will make registration easier than before.

It is worth noting that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, crores of farmers across the country get 6 thousand rupees annually. The government transfers this amount in all three installments. The government is going to release the 10th installment soon.
