Under the Balika Samridhi Yojana, the daughter will get financial help for better future

Balika Samridhi Yojana – has been started by the Central Government. Under this scheme, girls from all families living below poverty line will be benefited. This is a special initiative started by the Government of India to support the birth and education of the girl child. The scheme has been implemented in 1997 under the policies of women and child development and for the convenience of the girl child. At the time of the birth of the girl child, a financial assistance amount of Rs 500 is provided to the mother under the scheme. Along with this, scholarship facility has also been provided annually for the education of the girl child.

Financial assistance will be provided to all the girls registered under the scheme for better upbringing of daughters and completion of their education. This scheme has been announced for the better future of daughters and with the aim of making them self-reliant. BPL category families and daughters of families living in slums will be covered under the scheme. The benefit of the scheme will be provided to the girl child of all the beneficiary family coming under rural and urban area. This is a special effort started by the Government of India to improve the level of education of the girl child. Only a maximum of two girls of a family can get benefits under the Balika Samridhi Yojana.

Scholarship Details Under Balika Samridhi Yojana

• 300 will be provided to the girl child from class one to three through BSY.
• A scholarship amount of Rs 500 will be provided to the girl child on entering class 4.
• 600 will be provided to the girl child in class V.
• An amount of Rs 700 will be provided for admission in class 6th and 7th.
• 800 will be given for admission in class VIII.
• Along with this, an amount of 1000 rupees will be provided for admission in class 9th and 10th.

• The girl child of all the families belonging to BPL category will be benefitted under the scheme.
• Under BSY, respect will increase in the society towards the girl child.
• By supporting the education of the girl child, this scheme will make a special contribution of its own.

• Under the Balika Samridhi Yojana, girls will become self-reliant by completing their education and getting the means of income in future.

How to apply for Balika Samridhi Yojana?

All the families coming under the rural area can complete the application process under the Balika Samridhi Yojana through the Anganwadi center. Along with this, the families coming under the rural area can complete the application process through the Primary Health Center. Under the scheme, the assistance amount will be provided to the girl child only if she is registered in the scheme. That is why it is necessary for all the beneficiaries to apply under BSY.
