UP Free Tablet Yojana: The Uttar Pradesh government has announced to give free tablets to one crore students in the state. Under the UP Free Tablet Yojana, students who are taking skill development training, graduate, masters, B.Tech, health education, paramedical, polytechnic etc. will be benefited. All these students will be provided free tablet under the scheme, which will bring awareness about technical education to them.

Purpose of Uttar Pradesh Free Tablet Distribution Scheme

In today's digital era, it has become very necessary to use gadgets like tablets and smartphones. These have become a necessity nowadays. That's why this scheme has been started by the government keeping in mind all those youths who are financially weak or unable to buy them. Through this scheme, they will also be able to join technically.

The objective of the scheme is to engage all the youth through digital medium and create awareness among them. In the current environment, where education is being done online nowadays, it becomes necessary that everyone should have complete technical means. Keeping this in mind, the government has started the exercise of distributing free tablets under this scheme. With this, all the students will be able to complete their various courses through online medium and without any hassle. Apart from this, they will be able to use it in government or non-government jobs as well.

Under the scheme, a 6-member committee will be formed, which will be headed by the DM of the district. It will be decided by this committee itself that which children of which institutions will be benefited under this scheme. Under this scheme the nodal agency GeM portal has been made. The tablets available under the UP Free Tablet Yojana will be purchased only through the Gem portal.

Through the UP Free Tablet Scheme, all the students will get the benefit as well as the people registered in the Seva Mitra Portal, Skill Development Department will also get it. Tablets will also be made available to people like plumber, electrician, AC mechanic, carpenter, nurse etc. So that the services provided by them can be better.

Under this scheme, a fund of 3000 thousand crores will be prepared by the state government. Contribution will also be made by corporate groups, various financial institutions, and universities. The government is making full preparations so that the tablets and smartphones available through the scheme can reach all the eligible people. Let us tell you that the decision of which class will be given tablets and which category will be given smartphones, this will be done by the Chief Minister.
