Nadia district is a district in the state of West Bengal, India. Nadia is one of the oldest districts of West Bengal and has been a center of Sanskrit learning since ancient times. 3,927 km2. It shares its borders with North 24 Parganas, Hooghly districts,
East Bardhaman, Murshidabad and Bangladesh. The district comprises four

Travel Attraction in
The palace of Nadiaraj built here is a major tourist
attraction, although the remnants of the past glory have been destroyed and
only a dilapidated structure of exquisite places with carvings on its inner
walls remains. Krishnanagar is famous for world-class clay models and
terracotta works. Kalyani is another important town and sub-divisional
headquarters of this district. ISKCON Temple, Dwadas Shib Temple, Shyam Chand
Temple, Krishnanagar Rajbari, Palashi Battle Ground, Bethuadahari Wildlife
Sanctuary, Ballal Dhipi are some of the best attractions of the district.

How to reach
Situated on the main rail route connecting
Howrah/Kolkata and New Jalpaiguri including parts of the North Eastern states,
Nadia district is easily accessible by rail. The major railway stations with
regular trains are Nabadwip Dham, Krishnanagar City Junction, Kalinarayanpur
Junction and Ranaghat Junction. Divided by National Highway-34 in the north and
east, the district is also accessible by road from other parts of the country.
The nearest airport to the city is the Netaji Subhas
Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, which is about 110 km from
Nadia.
