Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple
Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple is also known as Mahakal Temple. The word Kaal has two meanings - time and death. According to Hindu beliefs, Lord Shiva is the god of death and time and that is why he is called Mahakaleshwar. This temple is the main center of tourist attraction in Ujjain.

The Shri Mahakal Lok Corridor is also a main attraction at the Mahakal
Temple in Ujjain. It is surrounded by the Rudrasagar lake which is more
than 900 meters old. One can see 108 pillars, around 200 sculptures and a
variety of paintings depicting the stories of Shiva in the Mahakal Lok.
The beauty of this temple increases even more in the night.
Harsiddhi Mata Temple

Lake in Ujjain is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of India. According to the
Shiva Purana, this is the place where the limbs of Mata Sati fell, when
Lord Shiva lifted the burning body of Goddess Sati from the sacrificial
fire.

Gopal Mandir
Gopal Mandir also known as Dwarkadhish Mandir is
situated in the middle of the Big Market Square in Ujjain. It is the
second largest temple in the city after the Mahakaleshwar Temple. The
temple houses a two feet high marble idol of Lord Krishna plated with
silver.

Ram Ghat
It is one of the oldest bathing ghats. The grand Kumbh Mela is organized here. Aarti is performed here daily at 8 pm, there is a huge crowd of devotees.
This temple was built by the Marathas. You can see Maratha art here on two pillars decorated with lamps. The temple is beautifully decorated with flowers on Navratri, which is a sight to see.

Sandipani Ashram
Sandipani Ashram is situated on the banks of Shipra river. It is believed to be the ashram where Guru Sandipani taught Lord Krishna, his friend Sudama and brother Balarama. There is also a stone near this ashram, numbers from 1 to 100 can be seen on it. Guru Sandipani himself is believed to have inscribed it.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha in Ujjain. This temple was built in the 11th and 12th centuries. This is the biggest temple of Lord Ganesha in Ujjain.
