QS World University Rankings 2024

QS World University Rankings 2024 has been released. Significantly, in this, rankings are given to universities around the world. After evaluating the institutes around the world on different scales, it is given a score. The ranking is prepared on the basis of this score. The recent ranking has been released on 27 June 2023, in this ranking an Indian institute has also made it to the top 150 universities in the world. This institute is IIT Bombay. IIT Bombay has got 149th position in this ranking. After this, the second Indian institute is IIT Delhi, which has been given 197th rank.


This is the first time in the last 8 years that an Indian institute has made it to the top 150. Earlier in the year 2016, IISC Bangalore got 147th rank. However, there has been a significant drop in the rank of IISc Bangalore as compared to last year. While last year the institute's ranking was 155, this year it has been ranked 225.

11 Indians in top 500 Institutes

11 Indian institutes have made it to the top 500 institutes of the world. IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore is followed by IIT Kharagpur at 271st, IIT Kanpur at 278th, IIT Madras at 285th, IIT Guwahati at 364th, IIT Roorkee at 369th, University of Delhi at 407th and Anna University at 427th.
