Manikaran

Manikaran is a religious place. Which is a sacred place for both Hindu and Sikh religions. It is 45 km from Kullu. Manikaran means “precious gem”. Guru Nanak Devji Gurudwara is the main attraction of Manikaran. Here the hot water springs in the Gurudwara is a main attraction for the people. Apart from this, travelers also visit the Shiva temple.


 

Manikaran is also famous for its hot water springs. Millions of tourists from abroad and India come here, especially tourists who are troubled by diseases like skin diseases or arthritis, come here to get health pleasure. It is believed that bathing in sulfuric hot water cures these diseases. Hot water springs are the most astonishing and distinct attraction of Manikarna.

 

There are many philosophical sites in and around Manikaran such as Ramchandra Temple, Kulant Pith, Harinder Hill, Parvati River, Shoja, Brahma Ganga, Narayanpuri, Rakusat, Pulga, Rudranath, Kheerganga, Malana, Kasol. There are many places for trekking also.

Best time to visit Manikaran

The best time to see Manikaran is between April and June, although it gives a feel of pleasant weather throughout the year.
