Nahan is a very beautiful town
situated on the Shivalik hills in Himachal Pradesh. It is surrounded by lush
green forests and snow-capped mountain ranges on all sides. Nahan city was
founded in 1621 by King Karan Prakash. Nestled at an altitude of 932 meters
above sea level, Nahan has beautiful tourist spots such as Suketi Fossil Park,
Sambalwara Wildlife Sanctuary, and Renuka Wildlife Park. Nahan has many forts,
temples and lakes. Renuka Lake is the largest lake in Himachal Pradesh with a
huge range of 3214 meters.
The main centers of Chaugan,
Bikram Bagh, Khadar-ka-Bagh, Rani Tal, Rani Tal Garden, Mall Road, Jaitak Fort,
Jagannath Temple, Renuka Temple, Trilokpur Temple, Ranger Palace Nahan. Jamu
Peak and Churdhar Peak are favorable destinations for trekking and other
mountain sports.
Best time to visit Nahan
You can visit Nahan throughout the year. The summer season starts
in the month of March and lasts till June. Travelers can also visit Nahan
during the autumn season as the weather remains pleasant for sightseeing and
trekking. It is colder in the winter season.
