Scheme launched to promote self-employment

The Uttar Pradesh government has come up with Goat Rearing Loan Scheme under the National Livestock Mission to promote self-employment. This scheme is very useful for districts like Bundelkhand because the climate and geographical conditions there are considered very suitable for it. Under Bakri Palan Loan Yojana 2024, subsidy of up to 50% is given to promote business and encourage young entrepreneurs for employment.

The scheme has been launched in five categories

The government has come up with this scheme to promote goat rearing in Uttar Pradesh. Under the Goat Rearing Loan Scheme, farmers are being provided a subsidy of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh under this scheme. The government says that more profit can be earned by doing animal husbandry business in the state. Apart from this, 5 and 10 Biju goats are given respectively on setting up a unit of 100 and 200 goats. Under this scheme, unemployed youth will get a chance to do self-employment through animal husbandry scheme. This scheme has been started by the government in five categories for farmers.

Eligibility required to avail the benefit of Goat Rearing Loan Scheme

• For this, the applicant should be a resident of Uttar Pradesh state.
• The candidate should have received training from a training institute.
• The applicant should have his own land or legal place available for goat rearing loan.
• The age of the applicant should be above 18 years so that he can become the legal officer of this business.
• For this, farmer cooperative societies, joint liability groups of farmers and committees formed under section 8 of the Companies Act can also be eligible.
• Under the Uttar Pradesh Goat Farming Scheme 2024, candidates of both male and female categories will be eligible.
