Yerevan

Armavir

Khor Virap Monastery
It is undoubtedly one of the most impressive monasteries with spectacular views of Mount Ararat, where Noah's Ark was buried. To get there you will have to go by car. If you do not have a vehicle, don't worry, because there are different excursions.
Geghard Monastery
A visit to this monastery is a must at any time. The first thing that catches your attention is its setting between mountains and cliffs. It is located on a rocky mountain and within the complex there is a small cave where water is collected from the rock and you will have to drink it without fail.
Sevan Lake
It is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world. Although Armenia does not have a beach, you can take a dip this summer, beat the high temperatures and do activities like canoeing.
Noravank
In Armenia you will find churches and monasteries in every village, so get used to them. However, each one is different and you will be surprised by its structure , as is the case of the church of Noravank, which is located in a canyon in the middle of rocks and vegetation. You will be able to enjoy the carved stones, known as 'Khachkar', stone crosses that flood the country.
