To promote the economic and social empowerment of women, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched Bima Sakhi Yojana 2025 Online Application. Under this scheme, eligible women will be provided stipend for three years, so that they can become self-reliant.

What is Bima Sakhi Yojana?

The Bima Sakhi Yojana run by the Life Insurance Corporation of India is mainly designed to make women financially capable. It is a stipend-based scheme, under which financial assistance is provided to eligible women for three years.

General Instructions to Candidates

• LIC's Bima Sakhi (MCA Scheme) is a stipend scheme exclusively for women with a stipend period of 3 years.
• Appointment of a person under MCA Scheme shall not be treated as a salaried appointment as an employee of the Corporation. 
• Minimum age should be 18 years on the date of application. 
• Maximum age at entry shall be 70 years (last birthday).
• Minimum Qualification - 10th class passed.

Performance criteria to be fulfilled by the MCA during each stipend year:

Stipend payable:

1. First Year Rs.7,000/-

2. Second Year Rs.6,000/- (Provided that at least 65% of the policies completed in the first stipend year are in force by the end of the relevant month of the second stipend year)

3. Third Year Rs.5,000/- (Provided that at least 65% of the policies completed in the second stipend year are in force by the end of the relevant month of the third stipend year)

Conditions

• Relatives of an existing agent or employee shall not be eligible for enrolment as MCA. Relatives shall include the following family members - spouse, children including adopted and step children (whether dependent or not), parents, brothers, sisters and immediate in-laws.
• Retired employees of the Corporation or former agents seeking re-employment shall not be granted agency under the MCA Scheme.
• Existing agents cannot apply for enrolment as MCA.
• Latest passport size photograph should be uploaded along with the application form.

The following documents should be attached with the application form:-

• Self-attested copy of age certificate
• Self-attested copy of address proof
• Self-attested copy of educational qualification certificate

• Click on the option ‘Apply for Bima Sakhi’ on the home page.

• Now fill the application form that opens carefully.
• Upload the required documents asked for.
• Double check all the information once and click on the submit button.
• After applying successfully get the application slip and keep it safe for future.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• The educational qualification of the woman should be 10th pass.
• The minimum age of the applicant should be 18 years.
• The maximum age limit of the applicant has been fixed at 70 years.
