If you have forgotten your Aadhaar number, then you can retrieve it with the help of the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). For this, follow the process given below carefully.

Step 1: Retrieve Aadhaar number

1. First of all go to the official website of UIDAI.

2. Go to the “My Aadhaar” section on the homepage.



3. Here under “Aadhaar Services”, select the “Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID” option.



4. On the newly opened page, enter the requested information like name, registered mobile number or email ID.

5. After this, fill the captcha code and generate OTP (One Time Password).

6. Enter the OTP as soon as it is received and submit it.

7. After successful completion of the process, your Aadhaar number will be sent to your registered mobile number or email.

8. Now that you have got your Aadhaar number, you can proceed with the process of downloading it.


Step 2: Download Aadhaar Card


1. Visit the UIDAI website again.

2. Click on the “Download Aadhaar” option in the “My Aadhaar” section.

3. Now enter your Aadhaar number and fill the captcha code.

4. Generate OTP and enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number.

5. After submitting, your Aadhaar card will be ready to download.

6. Finally, click on the option of “Download” and save the Aadhaar card. You can also print it.
