Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals, IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 Live Score: The Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are facing off in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026. Batting first, Rajasthan posted a score of 214; the Gujarat team is now chasing the target.
The Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are locking horns in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026 on Friday at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. In this contest, Riyan Parag won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Rajasthan posted a total of 214 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The Gujarat team is currently chasing this target.
Whichever team wins this match will proceed to play the IPL 2026 Final against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Ahmedabad on May 31st.
The Rajasthan Royals got off to a poor start in this match; Yashasvi Jaiswal (1) was dismissed on the very fourth delivery of Mohammed Siraj's opening over. His successor, Dhruv Jurel (7), also failed to make a significant impact and was caught by Shubman Gill off the bowling of Kagiso Rabada. Ravindra Jadeja then came to the crease and struck a boundary on his very first delivery. Meanwhile, at the other end, Vaibhav amassed 20 runs during the third over of the innings, which was bowled by Mohammed Siraj. In the interim, Riyan Parag (11) proved to be a disappointment once again. Furthermore, Danush Shanaka fell victim to Jason Holder after scoring just 3 runs. Jofra Archer was sent out as a pinch-hitter, but he too was dismissed after contributing 7 runs. Amidst a flurry of falling wickets, Vaibhav Suryavanshi notched up his half-century in 31 balls—marking his slowest fifty to date. He was dismissed for 96 runs off 47 balls, caught off the bowling of Prasidh Krishna. His innings featured 8 fours and 7 sixes. Notably, he had previously been dismissed for 97 runs during the Eliminator match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 45 runs in this match, while Donovan Ferreira once again played a blistering cameo, scoring 38 runs off just 11 balls. For Gujarat, Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder claimed two wickets each.
In Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and elected to bat first. Parag stated that the wicket tends to slow down later in the match and that his team possesses a strong bowling attack. Conversely, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill mentioned that he, too, would have preferred to bat first. Gujarat has included Sai Kishore in their Playing XI.
