Bilaspur is a district in the state of Himachal Pradesh , India. Its headquarters is located in Bilaspur city. The district is spread over an area of ​​ 1,167 km square. On 1 July 1954, the Bilaspur state was merged with Himachal Pradesh and became the Bilaspur district.  The city of Bilaspur was established in 1663.
