Uttar Dinajpur District
Uttar Dinajpur district is a district in the state of West Bengal, India. The district was formed on 1 April 1992 by bifurcation of the erstwhile West Dinajpur district. Raiganj city situated on the banks of Kulik River is the headquarters of the district. It comes under Malda division. Kanki Dham Area The area of the district is spread over 3142 square km. It consists of two subdivisions: Raiganj and Islampur. Which is further divided into 4 municipalities, 9 blocks, 99 panchayats and 1577 villages. The district shares its borders with North Dinajpur, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Malda, South Dinajpur along with Kishanganj and Purnia districts of Bangladesh, Bihar.
