Jhajjar
Jhajjar district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana state in northern India. Historically, Jhajjar is an ancient city. It is believed that the place got its name from the name of its founder i.e. Chhajju, which changed to Jhajjar with the passage of time. According to some other stories, the name of this area is derived from the natural fountain named Jharnagar. Jhajjar emerged as a separate district in the Haryana state map on July 15, 1997, with its headquarters located at Jhajjar, located at a distance of 285 kilometers from the state capital Chandigarh.
