Panchkula
Panchkula is one of the planned cities of India and the satellite city of Chandigarh . Panchkula, one of the five census towns of Panchkula district, borders Mohali city in Punjab . The esteemed headquarters of the Indian Army , Chandimandir Cantonment is located in Panchkula itself. Panchkula derives its name from five irrigation canals which are locally called Kula. These canals draw water from Ghaggar river which is divided into surrounding areas like Nada Sahib and Manasa Devi . These canals are very useful for the locals and are maintained by the villagers. It is bordered by Himachal Pradesh to the east and north, Punjab to the west and Chandigarh to the south. Urban Estate Panchkula is located west of Chandigarh.
