Lahaul and Spiti district is one of the 12 districts in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh . It is made up of two separate districts of Lahaul and Spiti. The headquarters of the district is located at Keylong City. Keylong city has some tourist facilities including a circuit house, a PWD rest house, a military rest house, a tourist bungalow, and several small hotels.  The district was formed in 1960. It is the fourth-least populous district in India. The district is connected to Manali via Rohtang Pass. It has two important protected areas, the Pin Valley National Park and the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary . Pin Valley National Park Population The district had a population of 31,528 as of the 2011 census. Lahul and Spiti have a sex ratio of 916 females for every 1000 males, and a literacy rate of 77.24%.
